What is the web site address for online giving?
When you donate online, you are connected to a third-party ministry called More Blessed. The direct website is: https://moreblessed.net/ donate/to/faithbaptistweb
Who is More Blessed?
More Blessed is incorporated in Ohio and provides church donation strategies to USA christian churches. Faith Baptist Church has partnered with More Blessed to help you manage your donations more effectively and efficiently.
Are there any fees involved with online giving?
Yes, but not to you. You select the dollar amount for your gift, and that dollar amount will be recognized as your donation. You incur no additional costs or fees.
More Blessed is paid two ways:
a. The church is charged a fee for every donation. If you select Credit Card as your payment type, the church will pay 2% of your donation. If you select E-Check as your payment type, the church will pay 0.3% of your donation. For either payment method, you will receive full tax credit for your giving.
b. You can choose to make an extra donation directly to More Blessed when setting up your giving. This information is not recorded by Faith Baptist Church.
If Faith Baptist Church wants to help people get out of debt, why is the use of credit card giving accepted?
Debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases. Many people use them in place of checks or cash, then payoff the balance in full each month. For these people, we offer the option of using a debit or credit card for giving. Faith Baptist Church believes and teaches that living “debt free” should be an important financial goal for all Christians. We recommend and encourage the use of electronic funds transfer (EFT) from a checking account* rather than a credit card. Although many pay off their credit cards each month, many others don’t. We don’t want to encourage anyone to go into debt and pay interest on any gifts given to the church. (*EFTs are preferred due to lower processing costs than cards.)
Giving online turns your intentions into reality with ease. After prayer, decide whether your desire is to make a one-time or recurring contribution. You don’t have to remember to write out a check each Sunday or each month, or remember to mail it in or drop it by when you’re gone for an extended period. It’s all entirely confidential. Giving online is a personal preference. Here are a few reasons online giving may be a benefit to you:
- It helps prioritize and plan your giving.
- It helps simplify your giving.
- It allows you to give consistently.
- It allows you to focus on the service when you are at church.
- No more check writing or ATM stops before church.
- It is accessible from your mobile device.
- It is safe, secure, and confidential.
- You can use your checking, credit card, or debit card.
- You can schedule recurring or one-time donations.
- You can change a gift or account any time you like.
- You can monitor your giving history and print statements, as needed.
What options are available for online giving?
We currently have three channels to access online giving. (1) Our website has a link. (2) Our smart phone app has a link. To download our free app, search for “Faith Baptist Adrian.” (3) Every week, we have worship notes on YouVersion Bible app ‘Events’ tab. You can link our online giving from this.
Do I need to register before giving the first time?
No. After you submit your first donation, you will receive an email with registration information.
How do I modify/delete a recurring giving schedule?
After entering your login information, select the Schedules menu option, then the trash can or wrench to make changes.
Why do most funds have the option for “Donation” and “Payment?”
Generally, you will select the Donation version of the fund. This indicates you are not receiving any services for the donation and it is fully tax deductible. Select Payment when you are reimbursing the church; an example would be a church retreat or purchasing resources. If you select Payment, a comment box will appear allowing you to explain what the payment is for.
What are the withdrawal days for the semi-monthly frequency option?
The 1 st and 15 th of the month
What browsers and devices are supported?
How secure is my account information?
You should make sure you create a strong password when setting up your account. More Blessed uses Security Metrics (https://www.securitymetrics.com) to ensure they are PCI compliant (Payment Card Industry). More Blessed receives an “A” rating from Qualys SSL Labs. You can enter “moreblessed.net/ donate/to/faithbaptistweb” at https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/ to see this rating.
