Are you in a valley or on a mountain?
I think we’d all like to be on a mountain rather than in a valley in life. Valleys are dark, fearful, and lonely. On the mountain we have vision and space and light. But life is often lived in the valley. We need mountains to inspire and encourage us. But we need valleys to teach and shape us. Mountain-top experiences can confuse us.
This Sunday, October 25, I will continue a sermon series called “The Cost of Following Jesus.” We are discovering that though salvation is free, discipleship will cost everything we have. This week we will discover the cost of CONFUSION from Luke 9:28-36.
Peter, James and John witnessed Jesus in His glory on a mountain. What an experience! Yet, this experience confused them. This Sunday we will discover lessons from the mountain that will help you in the valley. .
We will continue to have church services in our building at 9:00 am or 10:30 am. For more information about our reconnecting guidelines, visit RECONNECT. You can also watch the live stream of our service on Facebook Live or YouTube Live on Sunday at 9:00 am or 10:30 am and on demand after.
