Why makes you sad?
Families have many sad situations. Sickness, death, divorce are some of the hardest times for a family. Yet, childrearing, teenage rebellion, arguments, and empty nest can also cause sorrow. In spite of good times, families experience many days of sadness.
Yet, Jesus promises a special blessing on those who mourn. He will not only comfort mourning families, He will bless them.
This Sunday, May 10, I continue a sermon series called Bless This Home from Jesus’ Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12). I am going to apply these traits in Matthew 5 of a ‘bless-able’ person to your family. This week I will talk about “God Blesses the Sad Home.”
Jesus cares about our sorrow. Sorrow is okay. We were created with the capacity to cry. It is an expression of our love.
I hope you’ll join me this Sunday morning on Facebook Live or YouTube Live as I share a new perspective about sorrow. Invite your friends to watch and allow me to tell them about Jesus. In addition, we will have a Drive-in service in our parking at 6:00 p.m. I will continue to share some of the blessings of sorrow.
Join me this Sunday @ 9:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. online or 6:00 p.m. in our parking lot.
