Good Friday is the most somber day of the Christian year. It has only one theme and only one event in mind: Jesus’ death.

Easter Sunday reminds us of the hope of our risen Savior. But Good Friday reminds us that Jesus did indeed die for us to pay for our sins. We must never forget.

We would like to invite you and your family to the annual Community Good Friday Service on Friday, April 14 at 1:00 pm. This special service is designed to focus your hearts and minds on the true meaning of Easter and on the Lord’s great love and sacrifice for us.

Several area churches have joined together to provide meaningful aspects of the service.

  • Faith Baptist Church (Adrian) will provide the congregational music and will host this year’s event.
  • Fritz Kruse, pastor of North Rome Baptist Church will be speaking.
  • Duane Cross, pastor of Weston Baptist will read the Scripture.
  • Bruce Jewett, pastor of Jasper Bible Church and Steve Boley, pastor of Fairfield Baptist Church will offer prayer.
  • Sand Creek Community Church and Seneca Community Church will provide special music.

Good Friday is a significant day on our church calendar and an incredible opportunity to again call people back to the profound reality of the cross. We would love for you to join us.

The service will be approximately one hour in length. No child care is provided. However, our nursery will be available. Our gym will be open with a simulcast of the service.
