One of my favorite shows growing up was HEE HAW. It was a good show with humor and country music. One of the characters, Archie Campbell, acted as a barber who told stories. One of those stories was a good news / bad news joke. It was hilarious.

Doesn’t life have good news and bad news? King Solomon wisely notices that there is a season for everything  He tells us there is a “time to be born and a time to die.. a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to keep silence and a time to speak” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). Life has its ups and downs.

The Gospel is good news. But there is also bad news. This Sunday I will  talk about the ultimate good news and bad news. Did you know that the word “Gospel” actually means ‘good news’? It’s the best news because it explains how a person can have eternal life.

This Sunday, October 17, will be our OPEN HOUSE and you are encouraged to invite someone to be your guest this Sunday. We will not only highlight our church ministries and how they can serve people, but I will preach a simple Gospel message called, Good News / Bad News. I hope you will invite someone to join you this Sunday. It could be a day that changes their eternity. Regardless, please pray that God gives us a good day.

Join me this Sunday @ 10:30 a.m.
