STRESS!!! We all have it.
What do I have to be stress about? I’m on vacation, right? Well, I have stress because there are things I want to do that I don’t have time nor money to get them all done. Have you ever needed another vacation after you came back from your vacation? Now you know what I’m talking about.
I have the stress that when I come home there will be a box load of mail to go through and phone calls to return. And just because I was on vacation doesn’t mean all my responsibilities took a vacation. No! They just piled up waiting for my return. AHHHHH!!! Stress!!!!
But I’m sure you don’t have any stress? What? You have stress too. Your stress might be family, your job, your health, your unknown future, or just the stress of living.
Stress will drain you and leave you empty. Have you ever felt like you were running on empty?
This Sunday I will start a new summer sermon series called, Running on Empty. We’ll discover what leaves us empty and what will fill us. I think this could be one of my favorite sermon series.
This Sunday I’ll talk about stress and how stress leaves us empty. Did you know that the Old Testament prophet Elijah was stressed-out? Right! The guy that called fire down from Heaven was stressed. He was so stressed and depressed He wanted to die. Have you ever felt that way? Come and discover some of the unique events that caused his stress and what God did for him.
You won’t get rid of all your stress. But if you can allow God to fill you, it will give you a few extended miles in your life.
Join me this Sunday as I return from my vacation. I’ll be refreshed and ready. Maybe I’ll have a souvenir.
Join us this Sunday, July 2 @ 10:30 a.m.
Sunday’s over but you can watch the sermon below…
