Everybody has questions they’d like to ask God.

“Why is there suffering and evil in the world?”

“If God is a God of love, why does He send people to Hell?”

“Is Jesus the only way to Heaven? What about those who have never heard about Him?”

I begin a new sermon series this Sunday. I call it “The God Questions.” Questions we would like to ask God. I will try to answer some of life’s most difficult questions.

Some Christians are afraid to ask the hard questions. They think that asking questions reveals a lack of faith. But questions actually are a result of of faith. God created us with intelligence and reasoning ability. He encourages us to use all our mental faculties to seek and find and discover the truth for ourselves.

I’ll begin this Sunday with the question, “What is the meaning of life?” If we are honest with ourselves, we find the things in life are never enough to truly satisfy. Even if we get that mountaintop experience, it never lasts. We always want more.

So what is the meaning of life? What should we be living for? What are we here?

Maybe if we can’t truly satisfy the meaning of life for ourselves, we’ve been looking in the wrong places. Perhaps meaning is far greater than we can possibly imagine.

I hope you will join me this Sunday as I try to help you discover the meaning of life. In addition to beginning a new sermon series, we will have a scheduled baptism. It’s going to be a great day.

Join us this Sunday, September 3 @ 10:30 a.m.

Just a reminder, on Sunday, September 12 we will celebrate the 44th Anniversary of Faith Baptist Church. New Legacy Project, formerly Blackwood Legacy, will help us celebrate with a free concert. Invite someone to celebrate with us.
