Do you take this man to be your wedded husband? I do.
Do you take this woman to be your wedded wife? I do.
That’s how it all starts. Two people make a public covenant to one another before family, friends, and God.
Marriage is a life-long commitment to share life together. It is a most rewarding and a most challenging relationship.
This Sunday I will will begin my Spring sermon series called, Marriage Matters. I will be sharing God’s truth about singleness, marriage, friendship and life together from a key Scripture in 1 Corinthians 7. It will be a sermon series to help your most valuable relationships.
My topics will include:
- To marry or not to marry.
- God’s Answer to an Unhappy Marriage.
- Christians and Social Revolution.
- Staying Single.
This Sunday is an introduction. I will go all the way back to the beginning in Genesis 2:18-25 and discover Why Marriage? Most of the problems we get into in marriage can be traced to our neglect of reading and obeying God’s instructions. Early in Genesis we find God’s design for marriage. Describing the original marriage, Genesis 2 is the basis for almost everything else the Bible says about marriage. So we will begin by going back to the beginning to lay a solid foundation and learn the purpose of marriage.
