It is much easier to wear a cross than bear a cross.

I’m sure you’ve seen some beautiful cross necklaces. Many ladies wear them to express their faith. Crosses come in all shapes, sizes, and styles. Yet, no matter how we wear a cross, we need to remember what a cross represents

This Sunday, October 18, I will continue a sermon series called “The Cost of Following Jesus.” We are discovering that though salvation is free, discipleship will cost everything we have. This week we will discover the cost of CONFESSION from Luke 9:18-27.

After many months of following Jesus, His disciples confessed that He was Christ. Upon this truthful confession, Jesus shared the ramification – A Cross. Jesus would be crucified on a cross and all who follow Him must deny themselves and take up the cross. The cross represents living a selfless life devoted to doing what God wants, even if it means death.

Join me this Sunday as we discover what it means to deny yourself and take up your cross daily to follow Jesus.
